Don’t believe the myth that only scholars can understand the Bible. The Bible was written by 40 different authors, many of them just ordinary farmers, soldiers, and fisherman. And though it was written over a period of 1500 years its main ideas are consistent and simple. The Bible is meant to answer two basic questions -- “What should I believe about God?” and “What does God want of me?” Are there any questions more important than these? As you read the Bible you couldn’t do better than to ask those questions of your daily reading.
The following Bible reading schedule is a chronological reading of the Bible. By following it you will read the books of the Bible in the order they were written. It will take self-discipline but a mere 15 minutes of Bible reading each day will take you through the Bible in a year. So, happy reading!
