Have you ever made the climb to the top of a mountain? How did you feel at the bottom, looking up? I’m guessing that you felt challenged but you were looking forward to reaching the top. And when you got there I’ll bet you looked around and felt rewarded for your efforts.
We believe there is a mountain, a spiritual climb, God wants each of us to take. Our plan is to encourage as many people as we can to join us on a path that will help us grow spiritually one step, one commitment, at a time. We call this path our Growth Path.
Our Growth Path has four key levels of spiritual understanding and commitment, all of them reflecting God’s will for our lives. The view, so to speak, at each level is spectacularly rewarding. We will encourage people to go from one level to the next until they have reached the top.
Our plan is to begin with our circle of friends and those in our community who have never considered growing spiritually. We will invite them to consider their spiritual lives. As a church we will plan ways to connect with our friends and our community every year so that we can introduce them to the path. Our Discovering NFC luncheon is one of the ways we will do this. Discovering NFC is a free, informal lunch that includes a brief description of our Growth Path.
